How do I book services with Embouchure?

All projects begin with our online intake form. For Remote Mix and Master projects, the first step is a $75 File Audit and Diagnostic. Once your request and files are reviewed, you will receive a final proposal, agreement, and invoice. Your booking is confirmed after the deposit is received.

Informal requests via social media are not considered official bookings.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes.

• Remote Projects: Require a $75 File Audit fee upfront. If you proceed with a mix package, this fee is credited toward your final project balance.
• Mixing and Videography: Require a 60% non-refundable deposit to secure the booking.
• Mastering and Rush Services: Standalone mastering and expedited rush projects are paid in full upfront so we can dive right in.

Work does not begin until payments are received.

When should I book?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for multi-song projects or time-sensitive releases. For best availability:

• Large projects: 1 to 3 months in advance
• Singles or mastering: 1 to 2 weeks in advance

Do you offer recording sessions?

Yes. Through our Studio Vocal Package and All In-House Production tiers, we partner with affiliate facilities to capture your best performance in a controlled environment. Studio rental fees are the responsibility of the client and must be paid in advance.

Availability is limited and subject to approval.

How much do your services cost?

Our pricing is based on the chain of custody and the exact labor required to get your record across the finish line:

• In-House Production and Recording: When we control the process from day one, we pass efficiency savings directly to you with preferred baseline rates.
• Remote Projects: If you record elsewhere, our pricing is tiered based on the condition of your files:
  • The Ready-to-Mix Baseline ($575 to $600): Pure mixing and mastering for files that are fully comped, 100% tuned, and consolidated.
  • The Mix + Edit Package ($700 to $750): Includes technical cleanup (manual vocal tuning, timing correction, comping) followed by a full mix and master.
  • The Finisher / Pre-Mix Production ($900+): A hybrid production and mixing package for songs that require arrangement rescue, missing production elements, or structural rebuilding before mixing.

Please submit an intake form to request a File Audit so we can assess your files and provide an accurate quote.

Do you work with self-recorded or home studio projects?

Yes. We love collaborating with independent artists. However, clients are responsible for the quality and organization of their audio.

During your $75 File Audit, we will evaluate your session. If your home recordings require tuning, timing correction, or arrangement rescue, your project will be quoted under our Mix + Edit or Finisher tiers rather than our baseline mix rate.

Do you offer mastering only? / Do you provide beats?

Mastering Only: Yes, we offer standalone mastering services with full payment required upfront.

Beats and Production: Yes, we offer custom production and arrangement services. Please select All In-House Production on the intake form so we can allocate the appropriate resources to build your track from scratch.

What are your turnaround times?

Standard turnaround times:

• Mixing: 10 to 20 business days per song
• Mastering: 2 to 4 business days per song
• Video projects: Up to 90 days from the event date

Note: Turnaround timelines reflect active studio working days. The clock starts only after your files pass the File Audit, deposits are paid, and the project is officially approved. Furthermore, the turnaround clock is officially paused while deliverables are in the Client Review phase waiting for your feedback.

How many revisions are included?

Each project includes two complimentary mix revisions and two complimentary mastering revisions. Additional revisions are always available for an added fee.

To ensure we stay true to your vision, we ask that your song arrangement is 100% locked in before we begin.

What is the difference between Mix Revisions and Production Revisions?

Mix Revisions cover sonic adjustments to your track, such as turning the lead vocal up slightly or adding more reverb to the snare.

Mixing is the art of acoustic balance, spatial enhancement, and sonic optimization, which is distinct from sound design or arrangement. Requests to alter the underlying arrangement, structure, or instrumentation mid-mix fall outside standard mixing parameters and are routed through our custom Finisher production workflow.

Can I send a new vocal take or updated beat after you start mixing?

To maintain optimal mix integrity, all recording and production must be 100% finalized before mixing begins. Mid-stream file swaps or late-stage stem replacements require manual re-alignment, re-tuning, and signal re-processing, and are accommodated via a $50 Stem Reconform Fee per file.

If your producer needs to make major production changes during revisions, they must execute them on their end and submit new stems subject to the reconform fee, or you can upgrade the project to our Finisher service.

What happens if I need time to review my mix or delay my feedback?

We know life gets busy. To keep all projects moving smoothly, we ask that you provide feedback or approval within a 7-Day Feedback Window.

To ensure active studio queue efficiency and timely delivery schedules, projects that remain inactive or awaiting client approval for more than 14 days are transitioned to our secure archive storage. Files can be restored at any time via a $100 archival retrieval fee, and the project will be rescheduled based on current studio availability.

What files will I receive? How are they delivered?

After final mix approval, standard audio deliverables include: Final Mix, Instrumental, Acapella, and TV/Performance Mix. Additional alternate versions are available for an added fee.

Delivery: All deliverables are provided through the FilePass or EngineEars secure portals. You can review and approve tracks directly in the browser. Final downloads unlock automatically once the final balance is paid.

Note on Alternate Mixes vs. Revisions: Alternate Mixes (instrumentals, performance tracks) are created only after the main mix is 100% approved. They are meant for live shows and sync licensing, not as a foundation for further tweaking.

How should I prepare my files for mixing or mastering?

Files must be fully consolidated starting at zero, properly labeled, and exported at the correct sample rate and bit depth.

After booking the File Audit, you will receive precise submission guidelines. Following these guidelines ensures faster turnaround and qualifies your project for our standard Ready-to-Mix rate.

What payment methods do you accept? Who owns the final work?

Payment Methods: Credit and debit cards, bank transfer, cryptocurrency eligible for published Bitcoin pricing, and PayPal. Options may vary by project.

Copyright and Ownership: Upon full payment, clients receive usage, distribution, and release rights. Embouchure Studios retains copyright of all recorded and produced materials and may use excerpts for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Do you work with labels and corporate clients? Do you offer rush services or internships?

• Labels and Enterprise: Yes. We work with independent artists, companies, organizations, and institutional partners. Custom proposals are available.
• Rush Services: Yes, subject to availability. Rush fees apply, and rush projects require full payment upfront before work begins.
• Internships: At this time, we do not offer internship placements. Future opportunities will be announced on our official channels.
